Danielle has worked in the nonprofit sector, including higher education and healthcare, for 14 years. She joined the team at the Spectrum Health Foundation and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation in August 2016 and began building a comprehensive donor stewardship program for donors throughout the Spectrum Health System. Every day, she has the pleasure of sharing the tremendous impact of philanthropy on the world-class care, support for patients and their families, and innovative research throughout Spectrum Health, creating meaningful moments to recognize those who make so many programs and services available to patients and families and strives to make gratitude for the health system’s donors front and center.
In addition to her work at Spectrum Health, Danielle serves as the Chair of Michigan Women Forward’s West Michigan Advisory Council and will be co-directing the Colon Cancer Coalition’s Get Your Rear in Gear Grand Rapids in 2021. She has been blessed with many incredible mentors along the way and enjoys paying it forward by mentoring young women and supporting them as they grow professionally.
In her free time, she is an avid reader, loves spending time with her family and friends, and describes herself as a lifelong learner who hopes to one day co-author a book about the importance of stewardship in philanthropy.
