Diana Lawson, joined GVSU in July, 2014 as Dean of the Seidman College of Business. She brings extensive experience leading business programs and a wealth of international engagement to GVSU. From 2003-2006, Dean Lawson also held the Harvey Randall Wickes Chair in International Business at Saginaw Valley State University.
She has held dean positions at the Herberger Business School at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and was previously faculty and interim dean at the University of Maine’s College of Business, Public Policy, and Health. Dean Lawson is respected nationally and internationally, and held positions as an invited and visiting professor and scholar at universities in France, Moldova, and Turkey as well as at Harvard University.
Dean Lawson earned her Ph.D. from Kent State University, an M.B.A. and Master’s degree from Kent State, and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland. In addition to administrative responsibilities, Dr. Lawson teaches in Seidman’s Executive MBA in the areas of Change Management and Leadership.
