Rhonda serves as the Managing Partner for Crowe’s Grand Rapids Office, as well as a member of the leadership team for the Firm’s Construction and Real Estate Services Group, with a focus on Taxation and specializing in Tax accounting methods/tax deferral planning for contractors. Rhonda participated on the development team for the Crowe Construction Contract Optimizer software and is involved with development of other technology innovation for the Construction Industry. She has over 23 years’ experience in providing tax compliance and consulting services to both companies and individuals. She serves contractors of various sizes across the US, ranging from small closely held passthroughs to multi-billion-dollar multinational public and private owned companies.  

Rhonda is passionate about community services and serves on various boards and committees, both locally and nationally, including the YWCA of West Central Michigan, The Grand Rapids Symphony, Talent 2025, Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Board of Trustees, The Right Place, The Better Business Bureau serving West Michigan, The Grand Rapids Public Museum, and the Construction Financial Management Association. Rhonda is passionate about working toward racial equity in our community and has been involved with a number of West Michigan initiatives around this goal. 

Rhonda grew up in Newaygo, Michigan and attended Michigan State University for her Undergraduate degree in Accounting. She joined Crowe out of college, and then obtained her Masters in Taxation from Grand Valley State University during the early stages of her career. Rhonda is a wife and a mother to an 11-year-old daughter who is an avid dancer, and they reside in Sparta, Michigan on a small hobby farm.  

Rhonda has been recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan, 200 Most Powerful Business Leaders in West Michigan, as well as by the AICPA as an Emerging Leader – Woman to Watch, and is a member of the GVSU Accounting Alumni Hall of Fame.
